Wie ein Jobgesuch nun enthüllt hat, sind die Macher vom Xbox 360-exklusiven Alan Wake, Remedy, auf der Suche nach einem Entwickler für ein "groundbreaking AAA console project", also ein "bahnbrechendes AAA-Konsolenprojekt".
Gepostet auf der Seite des Entwicklers enthüllt das Jobgesuch, dass das Spiel auf der hauseigenen Engine laufen werde, die auch schon bei Alan Wake zum Einsatz kam und in dem noch erscheinenden XBLA-Zusatz Alan Wake's American Nightmare benutzt wird.
So heißt es in der Stellenanzeige:

We want your help in taking our artificial intelligence, character & enemy behavior to the next level. You will be working on the next iteration of Remedy’s in-house engine that was previously used in Alan Wake and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare.

Strong C++ skills (MS Visual Studio)
Experience on AI algorithms related to, for example, path finding, obstacle avoidance, decision making, group cooperation or planning
Strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude
Passion for games
Fluent in written & spoken English

Experience with AI middleware such as Havok or Kynapse

Anhänger des finnischen Entwicklerstudios müssen sich noch ein Weilchen in Geduld üben, denn bisher ist noch nicht bekannt, welches Spiel das mysteriöse AAA-Projekt sein wird und was es damit auf sich hat. Ob es sich dabei um Alan Wake 2 für Xbox 720/Xbox 3/NextBox handelt, ist ebenso ungewiss.
Doch hat Remedy nicht nur diesen unangekündigten Titel in der Macht: Neben dem 'amerikanischen Albtraum' ist noch eine PC-Version von Alan Wake in Entwicklung.
