Sega gab heute bekannt, dass man im Sommer 2012 Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown im PlayStation Network und auf Xbox Live Arcade veröffentlichen wird. Dabei handelt es sich um eine komplett überarbeitete Version des Kampfspiels mit neuen Animationen, verbesserter Spielbalance und mehr. Ebenso finden neue Arenen, weitere Spielmodi, massig Charakter-Items und zwei völlig neue Charaktere den Weg ins Spiel.
