Soeben wurde seitens MTV Games und Electronic Arts bestätigt, dass Rock Band am 23.Mai.2008 in Europa für die Xbox 360 erscheinen wird. Die Wii und PS3 Version soll ebenfalls 2008 erscheinen, einen genauen Termin gibt es jedoch nicht.
Neben den bereits bekannten Titeln aus der US Version wird es noch einige Songs von deutschen, französischen und englischen Künstlern geben. Dabei sind laut der Offiziellen Pressemitteilung:

- Tokio Hotel Monsoon
- Muse Hysteria
- Les Wampas Manu Chao
- Playmo New Wave

Weiterhin bekommen die Europäer ebenfalls alle Songs, die man auch in den USA über Xbox Live kaufen kann. Der nächste Download Content wird zudem gleichzeitig in beiden Regionen erscheinen.
Einen Unterschied zwischen der US und Europa Version gibt es dennoch: während man in den USA das Spiel inklusive Gitarre, Drum Kit und Mikrofon für 169$ kaufen kann, gibt es in Europa die "Instrument Edition" ohne das Spiel für 129 Pfund bzw. 169 Euro. Das Spiel selbst kostet etwa 69 Euro (UVP).

Rock Bands unprecedented offering of over 70 songs to date currently available for purchase and download in the US will be made available in Europe beginning on Tuesday, May 27th. Each track will be available for 160 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360. Following that date, all new Rock Band DLC will be available simultaneously in the US and Europe on a weekly basis.
