Sony gab heute einige neue Details zu Gran Turismo 5 Prologue bekannt. So wird das Spiel Ende des Jahres nicht nur auf Blu-ray, sondern auch als Download im PlayStation Store erscheinen. Ein Preis wurde bislang nicht genannt.
Insgesamt wird man aus 40 Fahrzeugen wählen können, darunter Marken wie Lotus, Mitsubishi, Nissan und Ferrari. An Strecken sind unter anderem die Eiger Nordwand, der Londoner Stadtkurs und Suzuka enthalten. Diese sind normal und Rückwärts befahrbar und bieten zudem alternative Routen.
Online können bis zu 16 Fahrer gleichzeitig gegeneinander antreten. Weitere Online-Features sind Ranglisten und MyGarage, eine persönliche Homepage mit den eigenen Rekorden und der Möglichkeit, mit Freunden zu Chatten. Des weiteren wurde Gran Turismo TV neu angekündigt. In diesem Online-Kanal kann man sich Inhalte anschauen, welche Motorsport, Fahrzeughersteller und TV umfassen. Über den ebenfalls neuen Menüpunkt 'Online Dealership' bekommt man darüber hinaus Informationen zu Autos und deren Hersteller.
