Am Samstag berichteten wir über das Fehlen des lokalen Co-op Modus bei Resident Evil: Revelations 2 für PC. Trotz der Listung in der offiziellen Steam-Beschreibung vor Release, war dieser nicht enthalten, die Entrüstung der Käufer zurecht groß. Ein Modder nahm sich der Sache an und sorgte für den Splitscreen-Modus.
Capcom hat sich mittlerweile erneut zu den Vorfällen geäußert und bietet eine offizielle Lösung in Form einer Beta für den lokalen Co-op Modus an. Jeder der möchte kann an der Beta teilnehmen, das Unternehmen teilte aber gleichzeitig mit, dass es noch nicht zu 100% funktionieren könnte. Sowohl für die Kampagne, als auch den Raid Mode soll das funktionieren. Wie ihr den Co-op Modus zum laufen bringt, lest ihr hier:
- Campaign Mode – simply press the START button on Player 2 game pad upon entering active gameplay. Ending the game or exiting to the main menu will automatically return to full screen single player mode
- Raid Mode – pressing the START button on Player 2 game pad in the Vestibule (the staging area) will activate split-screen mode. Select character, configure your loadout, and select Raid missions as normal. Exiting the Vestibule and backing out to the main menu will automatically end split-screen mode
- Alternatively, simply disconnecting the 2P controller will force the game back into full screen single player mode
