Tecmo hat Family Fun Football als exklusiven Wii-Titel für den Herbst angekündigt.
Der Sporttitel ist sehr arcadeorientiert und kombiniert die Benutzung von Miis mit originellen und lustigen Charakteren wie Tieren und Außerirdischen, die in dynamischen Welten und Stadien interagieren sollen.
Family Fun Football soll ein Titel werden, der Spaß macht und dank der Wii-Steuerung Spieler jeden Alters zugänglich gemacht werden soll. Es können Powerups benutzt werden, die etwa die Geschwindigkeit oder die Stärke der Pässe einer Figur verändern können.
Tecmo ist für seine Footballspiele auf dem NES bekannt. Während der Wii-Nachfolger angekündigt wurde, erwähnte ein Sprecher Tecmos, dass es ein völlig anderes Spiel sei, welches zuerst als Tecmo Bowl Project für die Wii bekannt war.
Die Namensänderung ist nicht das Ende des Tecmo Bowl-Franchises, denn eine Version von Tecmo Bowl ist für XLA in Arbeit.

Mascot Mode: Players can play as their default character or their team's mascot in Mascot Mode! Mascots include animals, aliens and robots and additional, unlockable mascot heads.
Mii Compatibility: Unlock the ability to play as your Mii and load in your own caricatures and play against your friends' and family's Miis for a more personal experience.
