Wie Eidos vor kurzem bekannt gab, arbeitet man zusammen mit den Entwicklern der Death Jr.-Reihe, Backbone Entertainment, an einer Umsetzung des zweiten Teils mit dem Beinamen Root of Evil für Nintendos Wii.
Die Portierung soll komplett auf die Wii-Mote und Nunchuk Kombination zugeschnitten werden, sowie eine leicht verbesserte Grafik bieten.
In dem eigentlichen Sequel muss der Spieler die Kontrolle über den Sohn des Sensenmannes höchstpersönliche übernehmen, Death Jr., oder kurz DJ. Aber auch seine Peitschenschwingende Freundin Pandora wird spielbar sein, um den mächtigen Geist Furi zu besiegen. Insgesamt wird es 19 Levels geben, die allesamt auch im Co-Op Modus zu bestreiten sein werden.
Erscheinen soll die Wii-Version von Death Jr.: Root of Evil im Sommer 2008.

Use Death Jr's famed scythe and Pandora's whip, as well lots of cool upgradeable weapons including everything from twin pistols to C4 Hamsters! Unlock new exciting moves and combos and learn to perform them to great effect using the Wii Remote.
