Bethesda Softworks (u.a. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion) hat heute die Entwicklung von Star Trek: Conquest bestätigt. Der Titel befindet sich für Wii und PS2 in Entwicklung und soll zu Weihnachten 2007 erscheinen.
Der Spieler übernimmt in dem Spiel die Kontrolle über die Förderation, Klingonen, Romulaner uvm., und führt diese in Kampagnen zum Sieg, um die Galaxie zu beherrschen. Das Spiel verbindet dabei Echtzeit-Strategie Elemente und Action-Elemente. So kann man seine eigene Basis aufbauen, aber auch Raumschiffe durch die riesigen Areale manövrieren. Sowohl beim strategischen Teil, als auch während der Kämpfe soll dabei die Wii-Remote voll ausgenutzt werden.
Erfreulich dürfte die Preisgestaltung des Titels sein. Diese liegt für die Wii-Version bei 29,99 USD, die PS2-Version wird sogar nur 19,99 USD kosten. Ob diese Preise jedoch auch in Europa gelten, ist nicht bekannt.
