In einem Interview mit CVG äußerte Chris Satchell von der Microsoft Developers Group seine Meinung zur Motion-Sensor-Technik, welche in den Controllern von Wii und PS3 Verwendung findet. Seiner Meinung nach besteht noch kein Grund einen Controller mit entsprechender Technik zu entwickeln, so lange kein entsprechender Bedarf von Spielern und Entwicklern zu spüren ist.
"There's no point building the hardware if nobody really wants it. One thing I'm not certain of is that third-parties are super-excited about that motion control - or at least they're not showing it with the games that are hitting the shelves yet. We're yet to see a really good game on Wii that really says 'OK that control kicked ass'."
Somit heißt es also: abwarten und Tee trinken. Mit diesem Standpunkt wiederspricht Satchell Aussagen von Peter Moore, welcher Anfang des Jahres eindeutige Pläne für eine Motion-Sensor-Technik zugegeben hat.
