Die Ära von SEGA-Klassikern auf Android neigt sich dem Ende zu: Viele Spieleklassiker bekommen ab sofort keine Updates mehr und werden auf absehbare Zeit aus dem Google Play Store entfernt. Dabei handelt es sich überwiegend um Spiele aus dem Sega Forever bzw. Sega Classics Programm. Der aktuellste Patch entfernt die Onlinebindung und entfernt In-App Käufe, um die Spiele zu präservieren.
Schon letztes Jahr wurden viele dieser Spieleklassiker aus den Konsolen-Stores der jeweilgen Konsolen entfernt.
Folgende Spiele sind ab sofort gratis und werden bald aus dem Google Play Store entfernt:

- Golden Axe Classics (enthält Golden Axe I, II und III)
- Shining Force Classics (enthält Shining Force I, II und Shining in the Darkness)
- Shining Force Classics (enthält Shining Force I, II und Shining in the Darkness)
- Sonic CD Classic
- Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Ep. II
- Streets of Rage Classic
- Streets of Rage 2 Classic
- Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Ep. II
- Streets of Rage Classic
- Streets of Rage 2 Classic
- Super Monkey Ball: Sakura Edition
- Virtua Tennis Challenge
SEGA bringt dieses Jahr weitere Mobilegames auf Google Play: 2025 erscheinen Sega Football Club Champions 2025, Persona 5: The Phantom X und Sonic Racing: Crossworlds für die Mobilplattform. Auch weitere finanziell erfolgreiche Spiele wie Sonic Rumble, Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage, Sonic Forces und Sonic Dash bekommen regelmäßige Updates.
