Rocket League wurde bislang mehr als vier Millionen Mal heruntergeladen, das gab Entwickler Psyonix vor zwei Tagen via Twitter bekannt. Das Spiel ist momentan für PlayStation 4 und PC erhältlich.
Die Entwickler arbeiten momentan schon am kommenden Patch, an ersten DLCs und zusätzlichen Updates zum Spiel. Die Details für den Patch sehen folgendermaßen aus:
- Player's win/loss ratio on the stats page will now be displayed as a win percentage instead
- A "Mouse Sensitivity" setting in the options menu for PC users
- Fixed the "Virtuoso" achievement not unlocking on PC
- Fixed item tracking stats for online games
- Punishments for players who leave during ranked matches (not 100% confirmed for the next patch)
Der DLC wird kostenlose, als auch zahlungspflichtige Inhalte umfassen:
- Free Utopia-inspired map DLC Pack: The map will not have a circular form (like it did in SARPBC), but will rather have a regular stadium-type form
- Paid "Supersonic Fury" DLC Pack: Includes two new vehicles. The concept render for the first vehicle can be viewed here. The second vehicle will be a muscle car
- Pearlescent paint is also in the works, and is said to be released in the first DLC pack
In Zukunft möchte Psyonix an Rangkämpfen für 3 vs 3, und einem Spectator Mode arbeiten, sowie eine Lösung für das Spielen mit Freunden auf anderen Plattformen finden und Items für User bereitstellen, die von den Server-Problemen betroffen waren.
