Neben der PS2-, PSP-, PS3-, Xbox 360-, PC-, 3DS-, DS-, Wii- und iOS-Version plant EA auch eine Playstation Vita-Version von FIFA 12. Matthew Prior - Mitarbeiter bei EA - hat gegenüber dem Online Gamingmagazin eurogamer.net einige Details verraten: So soll die mobile Version von FIFA zwar auf die Next-Gen-Engine basieren, man muss aber auf die neue Physics-Engine verzichten. Die Leistung der Vita würde dafür nicht reichen. Auch die Online-Features sind nicht so großangelegt wie auf den Heimkonsolen der Xbox 360 und PS3. Hier wird beispielsweise das "Ultimate Team"-Feature genannt. Nichtsdestotrotz wird das finale Game einen angepassten Online-Modus besitzen. 1-vs-1-Duelle sind somit möglich. Und da die Playstation Vita über einen Touchscreen verfügt, kann das Game selbstverständlich auch über den Touchscreen gezockt werden. Diese Steuerungsmöglichkeit wird aber optional verfügbar sein. Ganz dem Motto: Man kann sie nutzen, muss sie aber nicht.

Bisher wurde kein Releasetermin zur Playstation Vita-Version von FIFA genannt. Man geht aber davon aus, dass das Game am 22. Februar 2012 erscheinen wird. Am genannten Datum wird nämlich die Playstation Vita im Handel verfügbar sein.
