Kotaku berichtet, dass Sony schon bald PlayStation Home enthüllen wird. Dabei soll es sich um einen virtuellen Raum handeln, in welchem man Erfolge, die man zuvor in Spielen erspielt hat, ausstellen kann. Andere Benutzer (in Form von digitalen Avataren) können die Räume betreten und sich diese dann anschauen. Solche freispielbaren "Trophäen" sollen dafür bei jedem Spiel Pflicht sein.
Auch sollen weitere Features, wie z.B. Musik- und Videostreams von der Festplatte möglich sein, welche andere Benutzer dann hören, bzw. sehen können.
Unterstützt wird das Gerücht durch diverse Aussagen von Phil Harrison und anderen Sony Mitarbeitern (siehe Quelle), sowie einem Patent von Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, welches am 23. Februar 2007 eingetragen wurde.
